Here are the three big brands that have officially served lab-grown food to customers. Number one is Unilever. They own Breyers, which has officially released the cow-free ice cream. They use lab-grown whey protein made by genetically engineered fungus. It is legally not allowed to be called ice cream, so they call it animal-free frozen dairy dessert. Number two, Starbucks. They ran a trial of lab-grown milk in multiple stores and also named it animal-free. It was also made in a lab by genetically engineering fungus as well. Number three is Nestle. They sold lab-grown milk in stores in San Francisco. The milk, called Cowabunga, is labeled quote unquote animal-free dairy. The protein was brewed in tanks by genetically engineered fungus again. The supplier behind it, Perfect Day, did all three, but of course it's very hard to tell that. That's why I made Tallow, so you can scan your product, see who owns it, and make sure that you aren't getting tricked by fake food. Check the link in my bio to download the app.
