Trying the viral $60 toast. This is made from 60 year old rye sourdough starter. We have salted chocolate, PB&J, fig, goat cheese and hot honey, seeded honey, and butter and chives. This place is called Rye on Lafayette and it's so gorgeous inside. Starting with the seeded honey. Oh my god. It's good. It's super crunchy and really sweet from the honey and bread is my number one favorite food. So this place was made for me. Cashier said this was her favorite as well. Next is the goat cheese and hot honey. The cheese is good. It's not too rich, it's like cream cheese vibes. I mean, it's just delicious. It's expensive, but it's very good. Next is brie and fig. This is so good. Berry mild. I was expecting something potent. It's like a subtle, sweet flavor. Next is butter and chives. This is a lot of chives. Oh my god. This is not my favorite. This is the salted chocolate. I'm not sure if this is Nutella or not. Peanut buttery. Last we have PB&J with a side of clea's bite mark. This chop. Mmm. Personal favorite is the seeded honey. The chive is not my favorite. But the seeded honey is definitely my favorite. They sell the loaves of bread inside. You can also just get like one piece to try. Is it worth $60? That's a hard question to answer because if you don't appreciate bread, no. But if you do, it might be. It's worth a try.
