Why it worked

The video uses a relatable, slightly awkward social experiment format to capture attention, while the product is seamlessly integrated as a wearable accessory that the creator interacts with naturally.

Summary

The creator approaches strangers in public, pretending to be a celebrity, but they reject her by saying they have seen her videos and are not interested. The video serves as a showcase for her lip balm ring product, which she wears and applies throughout the interactions.

Product placement

Get Balmy (a lip balm jewelry brand) ACTS: the creator is wearing a ring that opens to reveal lip balm, which she demonstrates by applying it to her finger and then her lips. Removing this would change the entire video as the product is the central focus of the skit. The brand name appears in the creator's handle and bio.
