Two days of Safe & Smart Offline Training 2026, and I’m going home with more than just notes and new knowledge. I came to learn about digital literacy, online safety, and child protection, but somehow the biggest takeaway was also about reflecting on my own role as a teacher. Technology is already part of our students’ everyday lives, so our job is not simply to tell them what is right and wrong online. We need to understand their world, listen to their experiences, and help them navigate it safely and responsibly. What I really appreciate from this training is the reminder that being a teacher in the digital era means continuously learning, too. There were discussions, case studies, practical activities, and honest conversations that made me look again at what happens in my own school context. Thankful for the opportunity to meet fellow educators, exchange perspectives, and bring home ideas that hopefully can be translated into small, meaningful changes at school.
