“Bu, kenapa sih gurunya keliling terus?” Well… sometimes, teaching is not just standing in front of the class. Where we stand, how close we are to our students, and when we choose to move can also be part of classroom management. When we walk closer, we get to notice things we might miss from behind our desk: Who is struggling? Who has lost focus? Who needs help? Who actually understands but is too shy to ask? Research also suggests that physical proximity can be related to students’ learning and engagement. But here’s the thing: proximity ≠ simply walking around the classroom. We don’t need to keep moving just to look active. It’s about being intentional—When should I move closer? Who needs my presence? And when should I give them some space? Because sometimes, classroom management isn’t about saying more. Sometimes, it’s simply about being there. 👀 That movement you see? It might be part of the teaching. #TeacherProximity #ClassroomManagement #TeachingStrategies #ClassroomStrategies #TeacherTips #TeacherLifeIndonesia #GuruIndonesia #EnglishTeacher #Indonesianteacher #ClassroomManagementTips
