Let's try the Trader Joe's Swedish Princess Cake. For context, a Swedish Princess cake is basically layers of sponge cake with raspberry jam and cream, and it's all wrapped in some green marzipan. Now IKEA has something similar, but it was a complete miss when I tried it. So let's see if this Trader Joe's one is any better. It defrosted pretty nicely and we have clean layers of cream, cake, and raspberry jam. Cheers. The cream is perfectly light and fluffy and the raspberry jam kind of cuts through it, and the marzipan layer on the outside isn't too thick, which I appreciate. I'm also tasting a little bit of cherry flavor for some reason, but I think that's because of the almond extract. And the cake itself is also really light and fluffy. Given that this is a frozen cake, this is actually really good, and it's way better than the IKEA one.
