Some kids need stronger body input before their brain fully registers where their body is and how much force they’re using. That’s proprioception. It helps the brain understand body position, pressure, movement, and force. When a child is constantly crashing, pressing, squeezing, leaning, playing rough, or using too much force, they may be seeking stronger proprioceptive input. One behavior alone doesn’t tell you much. Look at the pattern, intensity, and how often it shows up. If this sounds like your child, my Sensory Seeker Survival Toolkit is packed with practical strategies you can use at home, during meals, homework, transitions, and bedtime. Get it through the link in my bio. Save this and follow @modernmomuniversity for practical sensory + ADHD strategies. #ADHDParenting #SensorySeeker #OccupationalTherapy #SensoryProcessing #ADHDKids
