Look at #4 —> Registered nurse. I have spent my career in operating rooms and clinics next to nurses. They did not choose the wrong profession. They chose a hard one, and then the system around them made it heavier than it had to be. Unsafe ratios. Endless charting. Families in crisis. Shifts that do not end when the clock says they should. That is what puts a calling this important on a list like this. Pay is not the whole story either. A sales role at $165,000 is sitting two spots below them. Money does not fix a job that asks you to carry other people’s worst days and still show up the next morning. A good nurse will catch what I miss, stay late with a terrified family, and walk back in anyway. That person should not live on an “unhappiest jobs” list. If you are a nurse reading this: what would actually move the needle? Not a pizza party. The real thing. Staffing. Safety. Respect. Say it below. 👇 — Dr Steven Cyr Tag a nurse who still shows up. *Salary figures: median annual wages for 2026, based on the latest available data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. #Nurses #RegisteredNurse #NurseLife #HealthcareWorkers
