KILL. BURY. PRINT. I pick up a copy of the paper, and it's this big spread of an evidence locker in total disarray, a series of firings that occurred, and then, of course, the reported affair between Kevin Clardy and Alicia Manning. I read that story and it- it just blew my mind. Incredibly ballsy. This very small town newspaper is going really hard against the sheriff, which you don't see at rural newspapers. In Oklahoma, at least. Nobody goes against the powers that be in the area because they can make life very difficult for you. The administration under Kevin Clardy may be the most corrupt law enforcement agency I've witnessed in Oklahoma, or maybe period. It's the kind of place where if you make enemies with someone in the sheriff's office, you know, you probably shouldn't drive home at night.
