Buying a Porsche 918 Spyder unlocked a secret perk. And I never actually realized that buying a Porsche could actually be an investment. Let me explain. Back when I worked at Porsche, we had a customer that had previously bought a 918 Spyder back in 2014. So doing so meant that he was able to be a part of Porsche's VIP program. He was able to get an extra allocation every single year for specialty cars, GT cars, any special edition Porsche. All because the Porsche 918 Spyder, which was just having such a hard time to sell back in 2014, it was MSRP for $845,000 and most of them just sat on the lot. Dealerships couldn't get rid of them. So fast forward 10 years, they were able to get specialty cars, GT3 RSs for MSRP, which at the time were going for $150,000 over sticker. And they were able to do this year after year for 10 years. So I'm pretty sure at that point they were able to make their money back. So what I'm trying to say is, go buy your dream Porsche.
