Did a Walmart manager just confirm something we've all been thinking about? And why do I say that? Because a man shopping at Walmart with his son to pick up a couple of items he needed for something he was going to be doing in the kitchen. Notice something strange about the pricing from shelf to register. Then he called a manager over and take a listen to what happened next. Listen. So me and my son went to Walmart to pick up some butter and some other items I needed for my baking. And I grab my stuff and I'm very aware of prices because of how high stuff is. And I go to check out and I start noticing that my prices are higher. And I'm like, okay, I call the manager over and he comes over and he says, you know, the prices can change from the time you leave the area to the time you get to the register because of the computer updates. So you heard what the manager told him, right? So picture this, for example, you're in an aisle and a product costs $5. And you get to the register and it can be $8 to $10 because the computer updates. Seriously? Is that what we're doing? So the price on the shelf is no longer valid. It's now negotiable at the register. Is this what we're doing, Walmart? Like, are we serious? You can't tell me that if I pick up an item that's $3.98 by the time I walk to the register, which is less than two minutes, because me and Kyle, we don't like to be in Walmart that long. And the price goes up. Because of the computer updates. So for those of you that do not shop at Walmart, you may not be aware of the fact that they're using what's called dynamic price tags. And a lot of people have been making alleged claims that when they walk down the aisle, the prices have gone up. Allegedly it's based upon how much you spend and how much money you make. And for those of you that may think this is some sort of conspiracy, it's not. Walmart has been sued by the state of California for the same fact of them issuing price changes similar to this one. And the CEO's of Walmart are also saying that it's not true. But everybody that keeps taking videos and keeps having interactions with employees in the store and being told something totally different. And that is also being illustrated by all of the lawsuits that they are currently facing due to this dynamic pricing and price changing. So keep it in the back of your mind the next time you do go shopping at Walmart. Take a picture of the price of the item when you take it off the shelf. And see if it matches up at the register. So you're not getting ripped off. Let me know your thoughts on this in the comments. Especially if you've had a similar situation.
