Attention thrifting girlies, I have a business proposition for you. Okay, this is for my people who cannot drive past an estate sale without stopping. The ones who will spend three hours in an antique mall. The ones who can roll into a thrift store and somehow find the one magical, really cool thing that everybody else walked right past. This is my question for you: What if you could make money, not just spend it, doing just that? Because that is the other side of this app that I'm building. Yesterday, I told you guys about The Hunt List, where you post something that you've been searching for, something that's on your hunt list, and other people help you find it. And this is the part that's really fun. The people finding the stuff, we're going to call them hunters, actually get paid when they find something that's been posted on the hunt list. It's like you have a treasure map before you even go shopping. So, imagine you're at an estate sale on a Saturday morning, you find a really cool vintage bar cart. You open the Hunt List app and you see that someone has posted that they're looking for a vintage bar cart and are willing to spend up to $250. You submit your find through the Hunt List app with pictures and information. The wisher gets a notification sent to their phone and they have the option to buy it right then and there. It's like a real life grown-up treasure hunt. The wisher gets the thing that they've been looking for, and you make the money because you're the one who found it. And you were already thrifting anyway. So that is what I'm trying to build. Something that connects the wishers and the hunters for the thrill of the find that we all love so much. And judging by the response I've gotten so far, apparently I'm not the only person who thinks this could be really fun and really cool. So, if you're a thrifter, if you're a vintage shopper, if you're an estate sale person, an antique mall wanderer, I need you here. Because I'm building this app in real time. I have no idea what I'm doing, I've never built an app, but I'm figuring it out and I would love for the people who would actually use this app to help me make it so great. So, if you would be a wisher or a hunter or both, please follow along and let's build this thing together. So far, I think that me and Chat GPT have done one hell of a job, but I would love to know what you think too.
