A $230M superyacht just rolled into Brisbane and it’s only 6 months old 🛥️ Meet ODISEA, a 78.2m (256ft) superyacht that’s barely six months old. That’s longer than one and a half Olympic swimming pools end to end. It ranks among the 250 largest superyachts on the planet, putting it in the top 5% worldwide by length. Built in near-total secrecy over four years by Germany’s Lürssen, it arrived here after a South Pacific run through Tahiti, Fiji and Vanuatu. What an estimated A$230 million buys you: A glass-walled “Beach House” lounge opening onto an infinity pool with a swim-up bar. A bow that converts into a court for basketball, pickleball and yoga. A sundeck that transforms into an enclosed sky lounge, complete with jacuzzi, fire pit and dining for 20. Two outdoor cinemas, a wellness retreat and a full dive and fishing setup. Five decks for just 12 guests, with around 24 crew on hand. It’s not available for charter. The owner is reportedly a reclusive American billionaire, and the builder has never confirmed who. But the bigger story? ODISEA isn’t alone. With Brisbane 2032 on the horizon, we’re seeing a dramatic rise in billionaires and high-net-worth vessel owners choosing Brisbane as a destination. It’s a trend we expect to keep growing in the years ahead. And it’s easy to see why. Our city is booming with events, things to do and experiences: world-class riverside dining, a packed events calendar, the reef and islands on our doorstep, and a skyline that changes month by month. The world’s most mobile people can park anywhere on the planet. More and more of them are choosing Brisbane. Have you spotted it on the river yet?
