Hook
Controversial takes and things I do as a parent that I don't think should be controversial. Coming in hot with number one. My daughter is a girl, my son is a boy. That's it, that's all. I'm not explaining any further. Second, we don't do tablets in this house. Get it out, throw it away, sell it, pawn it. No, we don't do it. Do I let my kids watch TV? Yeah. Do I let my kids play video games? Yes. But we don't let our kids play Fortnite, we don't let our kids play Roblox. If you're letting your kids play Roblox, yikes. There's literal lawsuits against that game, so I don't know what you guys are doing. Um, they play like Crash Bandicoot, Banjo-Kazooie, Crash Team Racing, stuff like that. So we let them do those things. Screen time is not ex-nayed in this house, but screen time on a tablet is a no-go. I don't do picky eater crap around here. If you don't like something, that's fine, but we're going to try everything, we're going to try new foods, and you're going to at least eat what I cook, and if you don't like it, we'll figure it out from there. But you're going to try my food. Daycare is a no. That is something personal for me. I'm not going to talk about it, but we had a really traumatic go with a daycare and I will never again do that. I will be broke and I will not work before I ever put my kids in daycare. We homeschool. Yeah, we homeschool. I don't believe in indoctrination. I also am not going to allow my kids to be lied to the way that I was, so we homeschool. And I will teach my kids things correctly, and my kids will not be created to be slaves for the government. And that's that. My kids can throw fits if they need to. Kids will be kids. And if something upset them and they they want to throw a fit about it, that's cool. They're going to go to their room while they do it, but we need to stop telling kids they can't have emotions because they're just like new to life too. So we need to let them have emotions, let them feel those emotions, and then we can sit down and talk about them and maybe other ways we can handle them after, but I'm never going to tell my kids that they can't be emotional. Not happening. Need to be taking baths every day. What are you guys doing? Kids are so dirty. I don't even know why this would be controversial. Children need to be bathed daily. They need to brush their teeth daily. So. Learning about Jesus Christ in this house, okay? I feel like as a 32-year-old woman that just found God, I wish that I would have had that in my life growing up. I love God. He's done so much in our life even when I didn't believe and my kids will know who he is. If they want to grow up and they want to change their mind about who they think God is, that's fine. But while they're in my house, while they're under my roof, we're going to know about God, we're going to be praying and we're going to be going to church. Bedtime is 7:30. Get your ass to bed. I don't want to hear it, okay? No artificial dyes in my house. None. I don't care. People are like, oh, they're missing out. No, they're not. Missing out on what? Eating dead bugs and nasty stuff that's in the Red 40 or whatever it's called? I'm good. I've seen how my kids act when they have these dyes. They don't need them and honestly, they don't miss them whatsoever since I've taken them out of our household. They don't even notice. We purge toys every six months. Yeah, we're purging toys, we're purging stuffed animals, we're getting things out of this house. I'm not going to have kids that have more stuff than they know what to do with, so I'm also not going to raise kids to be hoarders. I want my kids to know that they don't need to have a bunch of stuff to have a good life. I want them to know that the little things are what counts in life. My son's not wearing a dress. My son's not going to be doing his nails and he's not going to be putting on makeup because he is a boy. Last thing, we don't talk about politics to our kids. A lot of you are like dragging your kids to protests, doing all this stuff. No, we're not doing that. My kids are going to stay very much out of politics, out of anything government, any of that, as long as I can possibly do it because it is so just no. It's not something kids need to be a part of. Let them be kids. When I was a kid, I knew nothing about politics. I just knew who the president was and that was it. I didn't have an opinion on the president, I didn't have opinion on policies. It just it's unnecessary. You guys are trying to make your kids grow up so fast. Just let them be kids. I mean, seriously. Let kids be kids. Stop trying to force them to grow up and to be in all these adult conversations and situations. They don't need to. Let them play with Play-Doh, get dirty outside, you know, pick their nose. I don't know what to tell you, but let's get let kids be kids. Seriously, just just stop.
