It's their feet. The soles are packed with sensory receptors, and most only fire when something changes: texture, pressure, movement. A cushioned shoe gives them one flat surface all day. A shoe isn't bad. It's just quiet. Kids with ADHD who need more input go hunting for it. Pacing. Stomping. Crashing. Climbing. Feed the feet and the hunt can stop. At home: shoes off, barefoot on a textured wobble board. Always on the move and always looking for input? My Sensory Seeker Survival Toolkit is the link in bio.
