My sensory seeker set up his own obstacle course, and this is why I want the right tools easy to access at home. He chose balance, jumping, crawling, and climbing. That kind of movement gives his body different sensory input, and he got to choose what he wanted to do next. You don’t need a perfect sensory room. Start with a few safe options your child can reach and use. When kids have regular chances to explore those tools, they can begin learning what kinds of movement feel helpful to their body. Have a sensory seeker? My Sensory Seeker Survival Toolkit is linked in my bio. Follow @ModernMomUniversity for practical strategies from an OT mom to two ADHD boys and a sensory seeker. Save this and send it to a parent who could use the idea. #sensoryseeker #sensoryprocessing #ADHDparenting #occupationaltherapy #OTmom
