A huge 750-person concert venue could be coming to Williamsburg’s iconic Domino Sugar Refinery. The plan is for 300 Kent Avenue, inside the landmark brick building that sat empty for nearly 20 years. They recently built a modern glass tower right inside the old brick walls, leaving a 12-foot gap between them. If approved, this new space will host live music, comedy, and a wood-fired Italian restaurant. So who's actually behind this? The music side is co-founded by Ben Lovett, a member of the band Mumford & Sons. The restaurant team actually helped expand Eataly, the famous Italian marketplace across North America. But they aren't just planning late-night concerts. They're proposing daytime events too, like kids' music camps and jazz brunches. As of September 2026 the plans are pending state approvals so there's no opening date yet. I'm Laurie Savino, a local realtor here in Brooklyn. Follow for more local updates like this.
