A happy ending to an almost ruined proposal. You might remember this video we showed you Monday of an angry woman yelling racist remarks during a marriage proposal at the scenic Crescent Bay Point Park in Laguna Beach. The bride-to-be's sister was preparing to take video and photos of the engagement when the woman approached her telling her to take down their display. She recorded the interaction on her Meta glasses. As a mariachi band started to play a love song for the bride-to-be, the woman began cursing and yelling. We still have not heard back from the woman in the video despite multiple attempts to reach her for comment. After our story aired, Saint Clark Bridal Suite in Monrovia offered to gift a free wedding dress to the bride-to-be, Haley Lugo. The wedding dress shop owner wants the couple to know that love always wins. We live in a world that people can be pretty hateful, so I wanted to make sure that she understood that the world is not full of hate and there is still kindness. And if this is something I could do for her, I wanted to do it. Very blessed to be receiving the gown and that there are so many kind people out there who are still willing to help us despite what happened.
