Why it worked
The video uses a relatable, high-energy 'call-out' format that leverages the actors' charisma to create a sense of FOMO regarding the show.
Summary
Two actors perform a series of short, emotive skits asking the viewer why they are not watching the show 'Between Steps'. The video concludes by directing the viewer to stream the show on Disney+.
Structure
- 1Actors perform short skits with different emotional tones
- 2Repeated questioning of the viewer's viewing habits
- 3Direct call to action to stream on Disney+
Product placement
(a) Disney+ ACTS — it is the streaming service being promoted as the destination for the show "Between Steps". (b) Hulu APPEARS — a logo appears briefly as a distributor/partner. Removing Disney+ would change the video as it is the primary call to action and platform being promoted.
