Transcript
Tech companies didn't start giving their employees free dinner because they're nice. Google famously helped normalize this whole campus model where your food, gym, transportation, laundry could exist around work. And obviously employees love perks. But there's also a very convenient business incentive here. If dinner's at the office, you never have to leave the office for dinner. If the shuttle has Wi-Fi, your commute can become work time. If everything you need is on campus, work starts to feel less like somewhere you go and more like somewhere you live, which is kinda genius. The nicest cage doesn't need to look like a cage.
