Overnight, new surveillance video shedding light on the now viral feud between Kelly Clarkson and a Brooklyn novelty store. The exclusive audio-less video obtained by the Pablo Torre Finds Out podcast appears to show the moments leading up to Clarkson's social media complaint about an employee at Art of Play. Watch as Clarkson, wearing a yellow shirt and a baseball cap, browses the store, tests a kaleidoscope, then stops to examine the elaborate wooden songbird known as Molly. The grainy footage shows Clarkson waving over an employee and appearing to discuss the bird. Clarkson then sets down the kaleidoscope, heads for the exit, doubles back to speak with the cashier, and leaves. About 15 minutes later, Clarkson posting the message that ignited the controversy, comparing her experience to the movie Pretty Woman. Art of Play responded online saying Clarkson had asked about Molly, a one-of-a-kind bird automaton that serves as the store's mascot and is not for sale. Clarkson firing back though, posting a photo that appeared to show a price tag beneath the bird, claiming an employee told her it could be purchased for $15,000, before offering to show her something comparable. Now, co-owner and children's author Adam Rubin is urging people to see the store's side of the story. When Kelly came in, the shop was crowded. She was dressed like everybody else in the shop. We treated her like a normal person, but apparently that did not live up to her expectations. Rubin says the store has since been flooded with threats, harassing messages, and negative reviews. ABC News has reached out to Clarkson's team but is yet to receive any comment. Meanwhile, the store has now replaced the $15,000 price tag on Molly with one for $15 million. It's not for sale. The bird is not for sale. Unless somebody wants to spend 15 million, they got another problem. My understanding is my understanding is the bird was not for sale. Then, all right.
