welcome to another day in my life in Paris it's just like Emily in Paris except for the insufferable main character is me unwrapping our sleep curls never really know how these things are gonna come out but my hair naturally is a rat's nest so I give this a B plus out the door before 1 pm which is an accomplishment for me on a Saturday today's look is 1930s freight hopper plus my Barbès hat to represent the neighborhood and cause it's cold outside and can I just say my hair turned out pretty well on the other side of the butte so the easiest way across the hill is just directly behind the Sacré-Cœur which is very empty for a Saturday like weirdly quiet I would consider this quiet except for Cat Rasputin of course anyways down the other side of the butte across the cemetery bridge past the Castorama where we get to la Main Noire to meet my friend Malorie It's a coffee shop "What have you gotten here before?" "I've never been here before." a little chai latte little veggie quesadilla and in the afternoon I wander aimlessly looking for something to draw came across these boys playing pétanque the game of our people so I tried to sketch a little bit of that Pétanque is like French bocce ball and it's super popular for all ages like anywhere you find some open dirt space you're gonna find a group playing pétanque and here's the final sketch it's a little goofy and not game accurate but I'm happy with it I think you can probably tell my hands were so freaking cold I couldn't do that much take a moment to enjoy the sunset spot the Eiffel Tower stopping by Colline d'Asie on the way home before it gets too dark I eat this bo bun 3x1 week and here's me and Adam enjoying it while watching Downton Abbey
