Makeup technique? OR Just for smooth skin??

Welcome back to my series called, is it a makeup look or does it just look good on clear smooth skin? A series where we try out viral makeup trends and techniques on not so smooth skin that's not typically seen on social media. And today, by popular demand, we are trying the famous K Beauty spatula foundation hack. Apparently using a spatula to do your foundation is supposed to give it a really nice look to the skin. So I'm excited to try this on my textured and acne pore skin. I want to give this trend, you know, the benefit of the doubt. I'm going to use house slabs and pump it on my little paint here. Basically you pick up some of the foundation like so. And then you go at like a 45 degree angle and brush the product like so all over the face. You literally kind of scrape the product on and it's supposed to give you like a smoother look. So you don't apply it like this, you turn it to the side. The girl I saw on the video was using a bigger spatula, but this is the one I could find the fastest off Amazon. So I'm just going to go ahead and do this all over the face. Making sure I'm being nice and gentle on my skin with this scraper too. Not using too much pressure, just lightly going on to the face. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like I use less product than I usually do this way as well. Okay, so I'm just going to finish scratching the rest of the face. Maybe the smaller spatula is good for like these tight corners. And we just grab a sponge and lightly tap out those spatula edges all over the skin. This is just easy to blend since we already like distributed the product pretty good. We just need to blend out those lines. Okay, here it is. I'll blend it out. First off, I love how sanitary this spatula thing is since the tools are super easy to clean. Secondly, I think it kind of kind of thins out your foundation and applies it more evenly onto the skin. Here's my skin away from my ring light and here's what the skin looks like under regular overhead lighting. Let me know what you guys think about this foundation technique.
