Testing new tinted blur balm on textured skin? Let's find out by putting it to an all day wear test. Welcome back to my series called is it a makeup trend or does it just look good on clear smooth skin? I have three shades in this, I'm so excited to try them out. Let's get some skin prep on. Starting off with skin prep, I went with spray away from my brand 9 to 5, my antibacterial hydrating spray, and then we're going with sunscreen because you guys know my pet peeve is when I don't see sunscreen being used in influencer tutorials. I have three shades here, 00, 01, and 05. I feel like a 01 will be my shade. This is the Laura Mercier Real Flawless Foundation brush. So let's dip into this blur balm and I'm going to use like a tapping motion. Because yeah, I was afraid if I swipe, it'll kind of build on itself. So let's not do that. Let's do a tapping motion. Okay, blur is definitely in the name correctly here because I feel like sometimes products claim to be blurring and I'm like, what are they doing though? Like nothing. They're covering redness. But how are they actually sitting on my textured skin? I'm really impressed with how that's applying. I'd definitely use more of a tapping motion like this rather than swipe. Let's get it on half of the face. That applied so seamlessly. This is the side with and without. It's sitting so incredibly thin on my skin. I feel like I might like this more than the original foundation because it gave a little more coverage and super easy to just go in and apply. Like I feel like traveling, I would love this. I'm pausing there because I actually have a deeper shade in 05. I want to use this to do a little bit of underpainting over here. I love actually using the same product in just different shades for like my foundation, concealer, all of that because then everything blends together so well and then you don't have to worry about formulas like competing. Going back in to shade 01, we're going to go over top of that. And yes, I'm just doing this all with one brush. Okay, so here's one pass of the foundation with the underpainting over here. I'm going to grab it on the brush and see if I can build up the coverage at all. Actually, we're getting something. I would say though, this is supposed to be more of a medium coverage, which I don't mind. You guys know I love when my skin texture peeks through slightly. It makes me feel really confident in my skin. And as long as the foundation looks flattering on the skin, I don't mind less coverage. As long as it's doing something and I definitely feel like this gave us the coverage, it's doing a bit of that blurring, it has a beautiful glow. On first application, I'm really liking it. I really hope this wears well, which obviously we will have to see with the wear test. For the rest of the face, we have these Laura Mercier pressed powders. They're the feathered matte powder foundations. And if they're anything like the OG liquid formula, I think I'm really going to like these. We have a lighter shade, we have a deeper shade in 1N. So let's see if I can get some extra coverage out of it. Okay, not too much extra coverage, but it did a little something. Oh, it's applying nicely. Not too mattifying, it has a bit of glow to it. So let's take it on the powder puff to set the forehead. It's a very light textured powder. Take it on a powder puff over here. Okay, not super matte. It's giving a very natural finish to the skin. We're going to use shade 1C under the eyes. This is a really nice tone because it has a bit of that pink to it. The new Laura Mercier green powder, and since we went a little crazy with the blush today, I want to use a little bit of this green to help neutralize. Her green powder, this one's actually a really nice tone because it's not sitting too green on the face. Have this liquid highlighter from Laura Mercier in the shade champagne pink. That worked okay over the powders. Dries down immediately, so maybe take it on the sponge. I just feel like this brings back a little bit of the natural glow the skin has. This is the finished look in front of my ring light. Let me show you different lighting. All right, so if we go away from the ring light, we can see how lighting makes a huge impact on how the texture looks underneath the makeup. And here is the makeup in bathroom lighting. All right guys, it is the end of the day. The foundation, I really liked. I packed it with me for my trip. I think it's a beautiful balm texture that I would definitely wear more and lasted well on the skin, looked really natural, didn't crack too much on me. There's a little bit of cracking around my nose area and on my chin, but other than that, didn't cling to my dryness and sat really nice. I love you and I will see you in the next video. Bye.
