About a year ago I quit my job and I decided I was going to pursue TikTok. Not going to lie, first few months was not hearing much. And at that time my bank account was going real low. But since I quit that job I've already made three times my last year's income within the first half of the year. Yes, from TikTok. That's not even counting my 9 to 5 job. So, this is how you're going to make money. The number one thing that I would suggest to anybody that's just starting out on TikTok, TikTok Shop. If you're not already on TikTok Shop, get involved. People are used to it now. It's literally the new Amazon. If you didn't know, so many people make money from Amazon. However, when I tried Amazon I was making pennies. TikTok Shop though, they're paying the mother bills. My biggest month, $25,000 in one month. That's just commission. All right, second thing, brand deals. How are you going to get brand deals? You're going to have to do free work first. I post any and all content about beauty and fashion brands. If I like it, if I hate it, I'll post about it and I'll make an honest review. I started pitching my content services to different brands. I emailed every single brand at Ulta, I emailed and DM'd every single brand at Sephora. I was pitching myself and my portfolio and I've had a few clients already beyond a retainer and come back. That can be branded content, content that you post on your social media or just UGC content. A lot of brands are just looking for content that they can post. They pay for usage. Third way you can make money on TikTok is the creator fund or the TikTok creator rewards program. I'm in the creator program. I'm not going to lie, that one's not as helpful for me. Those you need to make one minute long videos, get paid for every view, and they need to like meet all these guidelines and a lot of mine don't. And I know a lot of people make a lot of money, like thousands of dollars. Last year I was chasing brands, spamming brands to get them to work with me and now I have to filter through all of my emails. I get dozens and dozens of emails a day and it's insane. I'm so grateful that I get to do what I get to do. Social media is fun. As cheesy as it sounds, if I can do it, you can do it because I'm literally nobody. I'm a little nobody girl from Hawaii trying to be somebody out here in this world. I hope we all start making money because there's so much money in social media, you don't even understand. Like the numbers that I'm seeing from other influencers, crazy. Crazy, crazy money is in this thing, so get on your zoom.
