Hook

A brand is paying me $20,000 to film a video for them. That is like four months of my living expenses, which is just absolutely insane. I know that there are so many people out there that think that it is too late to get into this or that it is too oversaturated. They have nothing special to share or add to their audience. I am telling you guys, 12 months ago, I was this close to giving up on social media and just throwing the towel in and being done. I had been posting for two and a half years making basically no money from it. I was discouraged and felt like I had nothing to add. All the same feelings that you are probably feeling as a burnt out content creator. I just want to say that you never know what is around the corner. You never know what video you might post that will pop off and completely change everything for you. Yo, we are in a time where just posting day-in-the-life content and outfit videos is not necessarily enough to help you build a massive following. I don't say that to discourage you at all. I say that to encourage you to look at things from a little bit of a different angle. Everyone in your space is posting about a certain topic or posting in a certain format. How can you make it a little bit different? What do you want to be known for? Do you want to be a creator who is known for super fun and funky outfits? Do you want to be a creator who is known for sharing really good parenting advice? Do you want to be a creator who is known for sharing super easy, budget-friendly recipes? There is room for everybody on this app. It is just a matter of figuring out what you want to be known for and showing up day in and day out and talking about that thing. I had a video go viral this week that brought me nearly 7,000 new followers. And to be completely honest with you, I have not had a video perform well like that since February. That is almost seven months of posting and just having normal average views and engagement. And that is just me telling you that going viral like that, genuinely, I think is luck. I thought of, scripted, filmed, edited, and posted that video all in the span of 12 minutes. And it is my best performing video that I have had in months. And I say all that to say that even the low engagement posts that you are posting, they still serve a purpose. They are still showing that you are associating yourself with certain principles, beliefs, ideas, concepts, formats, editing styles, all the things that are building your personal brand. So that when a video pops off and outperforms all your other content, your page is ready to convert people into followers. Let's say you have a video pop off and go viral and it is about a certain topic. You are talking about a certain thing. It is a certain format. If all those people liked that video and they go to your page and they actually see that you never talk about that on your platform, they are probably not going to follow. They are just going to think that that was a one-off thing. You create a personal brand by associating yourself with certain topics and beliefs over and over and over and over again. So that it sticks and that you become known for those beliefs or for that topic. The key really is just talking about that and doing that over and over and over again and letting that bleed through your everyday content. And letting go of the expectation that every video is going to pop off and perform the way you want it to on an algorithm. It is just not how it works, unfortunately. I wish it was how it works. But control the things you can control and you can control the content that you are putting out. You can control your consistency and how you show up every single day. And you can control the little bricks that go into building your personal brand. The advice would be to figure out what you want to be known for and talk about it over and over and over again day in and day out. So that when a video pops off and a ton of new eyes come to your page, they can understand within 10 seconds what your personal brand is about and can decide to become one of your new loyal followers. So that is my two cents. I am going to go and film this brand deal that I am stoked to be filming. I will talk to you later.
Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
