My salary from my full time job is $381,000. But I'm going to make more than that from social media this year. And I can talk about how much money I make from content. Everyone's like, oh, let me go post my video and I want to do that or I would be a great content creator. And I agree. If you can make content and monetize it, you should. But the thing that we don't talk about enough when it comes to being a content creator is the time it takes to build a brand that is capable of charging $15,000, $20,000 for content. And the reason is because I spent two, three years building my brand online before I ever got a dollar from sponsored post. And the question is, would you be a content creator? Because I think anyone would. It's a great job, it's a great way to make money, and it allows a lot of flexibility and balance in your life. However, I think the real question is, will you show up every single day for three years unpaid to do a second full time job? Because that's what so many of the creators that you see on this app who are successful were doing long before the huge sponsorships and all of the followers. I have a relatively small following, like between TikTok and Instagram, I have like 130,000 followers. I am not a big influencer at all. But there's just so much money in it when you have spent the time building a brand. For me, I talk about finances, I talk about my life as an entrepreneur, and so I talk about my life as an entrepreneur and so I get a lot of paid partnerships that make sense for my life as a working mom or a small business owner or someone who's just obsessed with their finances. So, if you are looking to be a content creator, I think you should. I think you should pursue this because I think there's so much room for all of us to be making money on this platform. But I think we shouldn't always just look at the people who go online and be like, I made $100,000 from content this month because the real question we need to be asking is not how much you made, but how long did you work for free to get to that point?
