Reply to ______abcdefgh12345's Best more details on the side project please side project part 3 so let's go into finding the problems right side project part 3 so let's go into finding the problems right so what I would suggest is connecting with a bunch of these folks these these business owners like if you pick an industry like you know let's just say dental offices um connect with a bunch of the owners of dental offices on LinkedIn just and add a note that only just says hey i'm working on a side project right now i'm very passionate about the dental industry um i i'm a software entrepreneur and i'm just looking to solve problems with technology do like can do you have a couple minutes to talk uh i could come into your office um or or you know we could talk on zoom uh and i'll just interview you and ask you a couple questions just add that as a note connection request on linkedin and you'd be shocked the amount of people who will respond because you're not selling them something you're only saying hey i just wanna listen to your problems maybe provide you a free therapy session haha and so you know i got so many people responding to me i still get people responding to me when i do stuff like that and again i go into a lot of this in my book um and so please check out my book i would love some feedback on it um and i hope it really helps you because the first part of my book is specifically going over to the sort of soft skills that you need as a product manager and then the chapter 4 which is what i'm releasing now um is all about how to find these side project ideas and connect and grow your network and um really find problems and in a specific industry and so that's what i would say you know find an industry that you know they use technology but they might not have a robust it department they might not be building a lot of the technology internally right they they might be buying versus building um and so uh so our goal is to sort of create a software for you know one of those companies that might not be able to to support uh something that they build themselves but they could buy it right off the shelf and and you would have your own support team or whatever eventually and so that's how i would suggest just trying to find these problems
