he can tell I got my soapbox about this stuff but you know our society will be so much better better wealthier more creative and innovative if even more people believe in investment learn about investment and do investment. let's say there's 50 million British adults. 5 million them are probably never gonna be able to invest in a nicer they're super economically challenged and I acknowledge that you won't get into the reasons for that how that should be sported that's different but just call it that. 5 million and they're extremely wealthy and they're all fine um they're basically the 5 million who have a sort of chair sizer and everything else sorted and my crusade is that 40 million in the middle where like actually quite a few million of those people if they understood this stuff if they learn about finance they learn about stock market they really understood compounding could absolutely sort their lives out and the end it would make a much better society for Britain we wouldn't need to print money out of thin air and create inflation um with the only caveat being which is a big caveat is getting this right takes 20 to 40 years and that's where it all falls down. yeah but that's where people you know people with discipline who see the long game who believe it who look at the data who understand the lessons of economic history and put a little bit of money in every month into stock market investment from the minute they start earning some money in their 20s until they're in their let's say 40s cause what I always say if you start with 25 quid a month let's say you got a bar job at 23 you just moved to London or whatever I know that somebody like that something about cause I was like that I was working at Bar University I couldn't put 200 quid a month into a nicer baby but 20 quid a month or 25 quid a month what happens is you see what happens like and when you're 27 and you've got a slightly better job that's slightly high paying you go well that's worked for five years I'm gonna put 50 quid a month in now and when you're 32 and you're now sales sales director or whatever and you're earning a bit more you just build this infrastructure of like investing ultimately by directivity every month into human progress which is basic shares right and if you do that you build and build and build and you will have way more money than most people believe is possible like by the time you're in your mid 30s you know then you've got deposit for house all this sort of stuff but you've gotta have confidence you gotta play the long game and you've gotta not which is part of the discussion I was having on Tuesday evening at the stock exchange with some of the people from the SCA the financial regulator the problem is this is very boring to most people boring like get rich slow get rich long yeah but it's got a very high probability of working yeah whereas what most we wanna do is trade FX and trade crypto and getting crypto grips groups and tell hear about their mate who got a Lamborghini cause he turned 300 quid into a million right but it's sexier but the it's it's sexier but it's really low probability
