Dyson Airwrap for beginners. Everything you need to know. I'm going to break down step-by-step how to achieve these big bouncy Dyson curls. This is a non-negotiable. You have to start with wet hair. I like to go in and rough dry my roots, but I keep my ends pretty damp. You want to keep a brush handy because you need to make sure that your hair is smooth throughout this entire process. You want to section off your hair. I do three sections, and then I go in with my curling attachment. I do full speed, full heat, and I always curl away from my face. I take a piece of hair and I try to let it catch around the barrel. If it's not catching right away, I'll kind of take the hair and wrap it around to help guide it on. And then I just slowly move the air wrap up closer to my root. I have long hair, so I have to scooch my hair up as I go closer to my root. You want to make sure everything lays and glides nicely around the barrel. You never want to force it. You never want to have to twist it. That is going to be key if you want your curls to be really smooth. So again, you want everything to lay nice and flat. You want to go slow, move towards your root really gently, and make sure everything is gliding on. I like to seal each curl with the cool shot. In my opinion, this just helps with the longevity. So after I've been holding the curl for a few seconds and I can feel that the piece of hair is dry, I will use the cool shot and then release. And you are left with the most beautiful curls. Again, we are going full heat, full blast, using the cool shot, and always curling away from our face. In between sections, I will secure the hair with a silk hair tie in the back just to keep all the sections separate. If you use a silk hair tie, it shouldn't leave any weird indentations or marks. And then for the front, I do the same curling routine, curling away from my face. And then I use the round brush for my bangs, just curling up and away from my face. This gives the best volume. And then I just comb everything through, and you're left with the best bouncy Dyson curls.
