If you live in a high paying, highly technical, stem oriented city like San Francisco or New York or similar, how do you feel about MBAs and advanced education? I've had many experiences as a hiring manager or part of recruiting committees at a multitude of companies in the Bay where individuals with MBAs have actually been de-prioritized in the hiring process because you have to pay more for potentially someone who has the same amount of experience or even more experience who's spent, you know, those years that they might have been getting an MBA or advanced education working. And especially in a city like San Francisco, I'm kind of wondering, you know, what do you really need an MBA for? Is it to make more money? Because my understanding is that you're not really making more money with an MBA necessarily. Or maybe it's just to hold C-suite titles? The main use case I've heard is consulting, but I'm just wondering other people's thoughts on this.
