Do not get an MBA...

The value of an MBA is going to zero. And I don't really mean this as a hot take. I mean, literally, it's just going to zero. Because think about what an MBA used to promise. Really two main things. The first thing was that it promised to put you at the frontier of how business actually works. The MBA programs basically got the best frameworks, they saw what the biggest and most successful companies were doing, and it solidified that into a curriculum. But that's not happening anymore. The world of technology and business is moving so much faster than even the companies themselves can keep up with. The Harvard MBA professors are looking to business leaders at what do we do? What does AI change all this? And those same business leaders are scrolling on Twitter trying to figure out the same exact question. They don't know either. In a world where business changed and evolved over a long period of time, it made sense that the MBA's would gather the frameworks. But things are moving too fast for the MBA's to actually know what the hell is going on. The second thing that an MBA offered was the golden credential. If you said you had an MBA from a top school, the doors would open up. But AI is wiping out the role that that whole track was built on. So the ladder that you paid to climb onto, the bottom rungs are literally just disappearing.
