What's the best finance advice you've ever got? Save $20 a day. 20 a day times 365, 7,300 a year times two years 14,600, three years 21,900, 10 years 73,000, cap and interest 78 grand. Save 20 a day and you always keep broke away. You should save money, yes, to an extent. Three to six months expenses, emergency fund, of course. That is basic financial literacy as an adult. Do that first, but then just invest your money. Invest the $20 a day, low cost index funds. It will compound way more than just your standard savings rate, because that is going to be rubbish compared to the returns in an S&P 500 index, for example. And in 10 years time, 20 years time, 30 years time, you will have a lot more money than you invested. You could have a shit ton of money. However, don't just rely on that. Do some actual work and try and make money in the present and then just have your index funds and your investing as your like pension. Cause let's be honest, young people like us, and I am calling myself young, don't get cheeky in the comments, we'll be working till about 75 at this rate and pensions are going to be peanuts and they'll be taxed in this country, UK. Thanks for that.
Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
