I put 20,000 pounds into premium bonds six months ago and here's how much I've won. My name is Charlie, I'm a three times founder, side hustle tester. I've made millions online and no, I don't have a course to sell you. If you don't know, premium bonds are a government backed savings product issued by NS&I in the UK. People think they're a savings account but they don't actually pay interest, so your money doesn't grow in the normal way. Instead, every 1 pound bond is entered into a monthly prize draw, and if you win, the prizes are tax free. So even though people talk about the prize fund rate, that doesn't actually mean your returns are guaranteed. You could win something or you could win absolutely nothing. So after holding 20,000 pounds of premium bonds in the last six months, I have won a grand total of 400 pounds. That works out at roughly a 2% return over the last six months, or annualised around 4%. I don't think that's a bad result. What have you won on premium bonds? Let me know in the comments.
