Let's budget a $225k salary living in Toronto. She's 36 years old, lives in Toronto, her monthly take home pay is $12,260 and she has no debt. Her rent is $3,400, Netflix is $18, phone bill is $97, car insurance is $205, car payment is $395 and Spotify is $13. For expenses, we're budgeting $1,400 for groceries, $400 for shopping. She has a dog, so $150 for her pet fund and for restaurants we're budgeting $400. Left to budget, we have just under $6,000. She already has an emergency fund so we're putting all of this towards her TFSA and she has no debt right now so she's crushing it. This is a breakdown of where all of her money is going and this is her monthly bills breakdown. Everyone should budget their income.
