HOW I COLD EMAILED MY WAY INTO INTERNSHIPS & JOBS I got this comment asking how I write my cold emails so I'm telling you guys the exact format I've used to land internships and referrals starting off with the subject line let's keep it nice and simple I love using "Syracuse student interested in {company name}" and then for what the actual email looks like we gotta make it to the point people do not have time to read these long bibles for the the intro introduce yourself "hi I'm Julia I'm a senior at Syracuse University studying marketing and entrepreneurship i have experience in {blank}" I've been following your work on {blank} for a while now and love how your team approaches {blank} number three is value why are you reaching out to them in the first place is it for a referral is it to learn more about their role so be honest "i'm really interested in breaking into {industry} and would love to hear how you got started" the close the last thing that you should say is exactly what you're looking for a very low pressure ask {would you be open to a quick 15 minute chat. I'd really appreciate your advice}
