I said this last year and got people all up in a tizzy but I still stand by it. If you have a friend that you need a gift for, or an acquaintance or someone you don't know very well, or you need a stocking stuffer or something a little bit cheaper, or a supplement to your present, this is what you're gonna get them. Maldon Sea Salt. I don't care if you're not a cook, I don't care if you don't eat it at home. Everyone could benefit from having Maldon sea salt at their kitchen table because it is a high water content, flaky sea salt. So you can see how big these chunks are. And because of that, you can really bite into it and you get a nice textural experience. It isn't too salty or overly salty like table salt is. And it's really good for finishing salads, you know, veggies, things like that. Really, really good on desserts and ice cream, things like that. And most people don't want to go out of their way to like spend the extra money to buy this salt at home. But let me just tell you, this box goes a long way because you're not seasoning your food with it per se, or not your normal everyday food. It's really quite a luxury to have that most people wouldn't get for themselves that is still under $10. I think when I got this it was at least $10. So that's my go-to gift. If you're looking for other spices, I would also recommend Diaspora Co. Aranya Black Pepper. You should go look at their website. A really good mission as well, but their black peppercorns are amazing. I put this in my pepper grinder and the flavor experience is just different. And lastly, my friend did not ask me to do this plug. I truly believe this is one of the best chili oils on the market right now. It outcompetes most other ones you find commonly. In terms of flavor, it's not mediocre. It's the original chili oil. My friend still developing a lot of other flavors. But um, this is where it's at guys. If you are tired of your chili oil not tasting like anything, even if the texture is there, you can taste the cardamom, you can taste the garlic, you can taste the Sichuan um peppercorniness, even though it's not actual Sichuan peppercorn. I don't think because it doesn't have that tongue numbing sensation. But um, I don't know. You guys just have to try it. Um, right now you can only order on their website and in select stores in the Midwest. But um, I'm sure he will expand soon because good flavor doesn't lie.
