Welcome to the future of work. Microsoft announced Copilot Cowork this morning. And it proves the shift from having AI answer questions for us to having AI actually carry out tasks for us. It can tell to prepare you for a client meeting on Thursday and instead of it spitting out some super generic plan, it can actually build a plan. It can pull your emails, your calendar, your files, your teams messages. It can create a presentation and assemble financials. This can all go on in the background while you work on something else. Microsoft actually partnered with Anthropic on this project and they're basically bringing Anthropic's Claude Cowork technology to Microsoft 365. Which is super interesting because Microsoft and OpenAI are like partners, but the situation always changes and is super complex, so I don't know. But it's clear that Microsoft doesn't care, they're just going to partner with whoever has the best models. And right now that is undoubtedly Anthropic. This right here is the future of work. It may take a few years for this to become normalized, but this is where things are going. Offloading certain tasks to an AI that it can complete in the background while you work on what you want to work on.
