A lot of people talk about investing and creating passive income, especially when it comes to investing in things like dividend ETFs. So, I wanted to show you if you invested these amounts in something like SCHD, how much would you actually be getting per year in income? I think the problem is people invest in things like SCHD, but no one actually shows them the numbers on how much you'd actually need to have in there to be able to afford certain things. This is what I always told my clients: just have a reason for buying like, for example, if your objective is to invest in technology, in AI technology, SCHD probably isn't the right fit for you because if you look at where your money is actually going, the sector breakdown, energy, consumer staples, and healthcare are the top three, and technology is like the fifth or sixth one down. And if you just had the realization that you actually invested just everyone, then check out the portfolio analysis tool in my bio! ETF Insight.org If you had $1,000 invested, that would be $33 per year in income. $10,000, $330. $50,000, $1,650. $100,000, $3,300. $500,000, $16,500. And $1,000,000 invested in SCHD, $33,000 per year. And I'm not saying that if you dollar amount dividend ETFs are bad investments, I'm just trying to bring into reality.
