why i quit a 6 figure job

this year I quit my six figure job as a financial advisor to start my own business and post videos about financial education on TikTok. It's a long one, sorry. I want to share a little bit about why I made this decision and maybe you'll get to know me a little bit more. Obviously, every job isn't perfect, especially when you work at a large corporation. There's a lot of things that happen that you don't have any influence or control over and you just kind of have to suck it up because you're a part of that larger corporation. I really wanted to build something for myself. So I wanted the experience of being an entrepreneur and really working towards certain goals and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I knew it was gonna be tough because I wasn't gonna have any sort of income in the beginning. It was hard quitting a job where I was making a lot more money than I ever thought I would make. Also wanted to make financial education and finance more accessible. So I hit this wall where I realized I was only pretty much working with people that had maybe around a million dollar net worth. My clients ranged from $250k to $25 mil. Which is great and I had a lot of experience being able to help them. But what I was really missing that I was really passionate about was helping people that were just starting. I was paid on commission and if you had less than $250k, you couldn't meet with me. So all of these people that had, you know, a million dollars when they're retiring, probably had some sort of help or some sort of advice from someone when they were younger to tell them to start investing, to tell them what to invest in, to tell them what to invest in, or to just educate them on how to not basically ruin themselves financially. Share all of the experience that I had managing over $600 million in client assets. I wanted to take all of that experience and boil it down and make it helpful for people that maybe don't have the means to access that sort of information. Here I am and it's been about four months or so since I quit my job and I couldn't be more happy with my decision. So hopefully you follow along.
