Should you use Lovable or Claude Code? (Lovable vs Claude Code battle) So I gave Lovable and Claude Code the exact same prompts to build me an app and the results were actually very surprising. What should we build, Jack? So I prompted both of them to build me a fitness tracking web app and I gave them full freedom on UI and stylings. So right off the bat, Lovable called the app Veloce and it came out with this neon styling. And then Claude Code called the app Fit Track and it came out with this very vibe coded purple gradient theme. I then asked both tools to make a nice landing page and upgrade the entire UI Lovable came out with this landing page and while you can definitely tell it's vibe coded, it doesn't look bad at all. And then Claude Code came out with this extremely vibe coded landing page. And if you want an example of what not to make your landing page look like, this is it. I gave myself 10 minutes with both tools to try to make it look as nice as possible. After using Lovable for 10 minutes, this is what it looks like. I think it looks fine. I think it doesn't really scream like it's a vibe coded landing page. I think it's just like a solid 7 out of 10. After using Code for 10 minutes, this is what it looks like. Obviously this is playing very much in Lovable's ballpark. Like this is exactly what Lovable is meant to do. And if I were to use both tools properly and use a PRD document and tell it to use the best styling and kind of use what I preach, it definitely would have been a better outcome. And if you wanted to code some, like crazy AI agent that pulled data from like your Apple Watch and your whoop, that's exactly what you'd use Claude Code for. And it kind of goes to show that tools like Lovable, Bolt, Base 44 are beginner friendly for a reason because they give really good product straight out of the box.
