Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
So Cursor just released a new model called Grok 4.5 and apparently it feels just like Opus 4.8 at twice the speed, half the tokens and at a much lower price. And apparently it's built for more than just coding, it can really do anything on your computer, so I'm going to give both models the same exact task and see how it goes. So starting with Opus 4.8 here, I'm going to upload a picture of a fridge and it gave me a bunch of different recipes. So this cost me $3 and took about 16 minutes. Now on to Grok 4.5 here, it gave me all of these different recipes and this took about 6 minutes and cost me about 15 cents. So now because Grok 4.5 is built for more than just coding, I'm going to have it build out an entire investor presentation for Fridge Finder for me on this app. So this is the presentation that Grok made, it's pulling a bunch of real-time stats and it's all happening really fast. And this isn't even Cursor's fastest model, they had Composer 2.5 and Grok 4.5 and Grok is kind of like their heavyweight model. If you want to try this out for yourself, comment cursor and I'll send you 50% off your first month as well as double the Grok 4.5 usage for your first week.
