So I bought three Mac minis just for Claude to announce that they can now do most of the things that Openclaw can do. But here is what most people aren't talking about as far as the differences between Claude and Openclaw. First off, there's been a lot of hate on Mac minis and people who buy them. The thing I want you guys to understand is that a lot of times, yes, some people who spent money on Mac minis are probably cooked. However, for the majority of people who are actually buying multiple Mac minis, they know what they're doing. And for the most part, I can only speak for myself, they probably have some really good use cases for it. So if you used a Mac mini, or you're using a Raspberry, or you're using any other device but you're still actively using AI in this manner, or you're using agents to actually do work for you, you're never going to be upset about you spending money to actually take the investment in the leap to actually pursue something else that's really big and huge. Let's actually get into the differences between the two. For one, I suggest using both of them. As Claude AI came out with things that it can do similar to Openclaw, it's not actually Openclaw. There is one major difference between the two, which is why people will still buy Mac minis and this is why they'll still use Openclaw. Openclaw is open source, meaning when you go to their website and you look up openclaw.ai, you can download the code to assign the agent directly to your terminal within your computer for free. Claude AI is behind a paywall, meaning you have to pay for their services prior to using it. And for the majority of people who are trying to get into this space, a lot of them don't necessarily have use cases. So either way, you're going to have to make an investment into getting into this space. Second big thing is security. If you're operating an online business or a really big company like healthcare or in law or, you know, just dealing with people and you're saving information, major thing is when you are using Claude, you are actively sharing information with their company. You can literally go check the settings and it says, can we use this to automatically toggle on? Can we use your responses and everything that you're doing through Claude as a test to train our bots? You use Openclaw, you're hosting everything locally, which means you own everything on that Mac mini. And as long as you have the right security protocol set up, you are protected. So even if you're a really huge company or you're doing over $50,000 a month, compliance is a really big thing. And a lot of people don't talk about it, but you can get sued if something leaks. So sharing the information with Claude is actually directly against the privacy policies that you've been placing on your website whether you read it or not. People did not consent to have their information shared with other companies. So this is why it's really important for you to understand the differences between the two. Now, if you're a smaller business or someone just trying to, you know, tinkle around with things, using Claude AI is amazing, you don't need a Mac mini. But if you're someone who's really actively trying to pursue and build something big, you probably want to have it on local devices. The third huge thing is this. Claude AI only allows you to use Claude's models. Since Openclaw is open source, you can use multiple different models. You can use Kimmy if you wanted to. You can use Quinn if you wanted to. You can use Codex, which is from OpenAI, and you can also still integrate Claude. And a lot of these other models have cheaper costs or certain use cases that make them better than just going through Claude. So for people who really get technical and understand what they're doing when it comes to using AI agents, you probably need multiple different models for different scenarios, which is specifically me and other people that I set these up for. Essentially, businesses who are doing over $25,000 a month and are actively growing and want to use AI in a secure manner. Fourth huge difference is this. With Claude being behind a paywall, they can raise their prices at any time. In the recent Nvidia GTC event, Jensen, who is the owner and one of the top CEOs in the entire world, probably ever in history, made a profound statement. Token usage is going to be an important currency when detecting who's actually putting in a lot of work. And also the output that they're actually getting. So what does that mean? Over time, yes, token usage and things like that will get cheaper. But it is a form of currency that is used to detect how much output you're getting. And the interesting thing about Claude is that you do have to pay for usage if you're using API keys. So when people say the cost of Claude gets expensive, it is the truth. Yes, you can pay for the $20 a month subscription and the $200 a month subscription or one of the other, but you'll still have limitations as far as usage goes. And this is where other models come in where you can switch and use different models that may be free or that may be cheaper. If Claude just wanted to just raise their prices by $20 or $50 or $100, they can do it and you literally can't unsubscribe because that's the one thing that you're using. So by all means, this is just an informative video to make sure that you understand the differences between the two. I personally believe you should be using both. I also believe there's a lot of people on social media who are just pocket watching, which is per usual. People want to have a reason to be the villain. They want to tell people that they wasted money on Mac minis and laugh at them and say Openclaw is destroyed. But most of those people aren't really that informed, at least from the stuff that I've been seeing. As a person who's put in over 100 plus hours in with AI and using these tools, and a person who's actively getting their cybersecurity certifications, with a person who actually studies the top CEOs in this space and understands the different equipment and products and how everything actually works, both of them are really amazing. It just fits different people with different scopes of work. If you're someone who's just getting started and you're trying to get into the world of AI, Claude AI is amazing. If you're a person who's more advanced and you have a company or a business and you're really trying to scale, hosting everything locally is going to be the safest option for you if you don't want to get hit with lawsuits in the future. Please make sure you guys are doing active research before just trusting opinions online. As for me, I'm going to still buy more Mac minis, I'm going to still use Openclaw and I'm going to also use Claude AI. It's really to me not one or the other, it's actually using both of them for different things that you're doing. So I don't know, what do you all think?
