let me show you how to get Google Analytics and Google Search Console set up in 60 seconds. Yes you need this. Yes it's important. Yes you should do it right now. Save this video or send it to somebody who needs this. If you have a website you need this first. You're gonna go to developers.google.com and in the top right you're gonna click go to analytics. It's gonna ask you about your business, what industry you're in, what kind of data you want. You just select what you think will be helpful for you. When you get to the end you're gonna see two options: install with your website builder or install manually. I'm gonna walk you through both real quick. Install with your website builder, pretty self-explanatory. You're gonna log in with your account and it should link. If you choose install manually, it's gonna give you a little snippet of code that you're gonna put on your website. For builders like Squarespace, Wix, GoDaddy, they usually have a tab under integrations for Google Analytics. For us on WordPress, we usually use a plugin called Header Footer Code, or since we use DV, there's an integration tab where we can paste that code ourselves. You wait a little bit, you click verify, and you should be all set. Now for Google Search Console, there's gonna be two options: setting it up through your domain or through a URL prefix for your domain. For your domain, you're gonna have to log in to where your domain is registered and verify that you own it to get validated for URL prefix. You're gonna get a couple options to verify, and the easiest option is to verify it through Google Analytics, which we just set up. If you don't have these set up, you basically don't know if your website is working or not. You're welcome.
