There's a massive group of people out there waiting to fall in love with your work. You need to stop robbing them of the opportunity to do so. Think about a 25-year-old Kanye walking into every major record label in New York with his demo tape. See, these billionaire executives kept telling him that they only want to release what's selling right now and that they'd be willing to work with him if he would meet them halfway. But of course, Kanye would just tell them no, and it wasn't because he was arrogant. It was more so because he knew that the moment you start creating for approval, you stop creating anything worth approving. The thing about this world is that it'll never build a legacy around someone who plays it safe. So he did what only Kanye can do and he took out four bank loans to fund his own album. And as it turned out, The College Dropout, his first album, sold 3.5 million copies in eight months. But what made Kanye different is that he didn't let the industry gaslight him into hating his own work. The minute you overthink a piece of content and don't post it, or you cut the part that felt too personal, too much like what you actually wanted to say, you essentially tell yourself that you don't deserve to take up space in this world. And the thing about this life is that it doesn't give you what you want, it gives you what you tolerate. So make a decision today to only tolerate the version of yourself that shows up fully and authentically online. Whether that be in your content or your business, just understand that under no circumstances should you ever let the world gaslight you into being small. I know because I've been there and I lived in that prison for almost five years. There's a massive group of people out there waiting to fall in love with your work. You need to stop robbing them of the opportunity to do so and robbing yourself of the opportunity for fulfillment. And if you can do that, I promise you, your dreams are a lot closer than you might think.
