I was at a conference recently and as part of the lunch they served vegan bacon and as I sat down to talk to some people everyone was talking about the vegan bacon and this woman said oh I didn't want to try it because I just don't do those vegan meats and I don't eat meat so I said oh why and she said you know they just have so much processed crap in them like they just aren't healthy they can't be good for you. I was like oh that makes sense. I was like do you do you like regular bacon? I've never had it. And she was like yes I love bacon. I love to have it for breakfast. And I was like okay bacon and other processed red meat is literally a category one carcinogen meaning it is on the same level as smoking cigarettes in terms of the chances that it will cause cancer. And look, I am all for you do you. If you want to eat meat you do that, my husband eats meat. But make it make sense. Don't not try a vegan alternative because you say it's not good for your health and you don't want something with all that crap in it, but then you're willing to eat the category one carcinogen of the real bacon? No. No.
