I'm convinced these four things helped me land my new job. And none of them are on any career advice list. I was laid off earlier this year and I was job searching about a month ago. And here are the woo woo, spiritual and Feng Shui things I did. If anything, it helped my mindset and maybe got me hired. First thing, clear every sink. Every night before bed. And even now, I always make sure my kitchen sink is cleared. This is something in Feng Shui that you want to make sure your kitchen and bathroom sinks are clean, because that is supposed to bring good fortune. And I think we could all use a little good fortune. And it can help your mental load so you're not waking up to a sink full of dishes every morning. Second, journal the best outcome. Every night before bed. On days leading to big moments like interviews or big coffee meetings, whatever. I would always journal the best outcome already happened. This probably seems a little delusional. It really helped me get through high stakes moments, feeling like it already went well. Number 3, energy protection. So I did tell all of you on here I was job searching, but I didn't tell the roles I was interviewing for, the companies. Told a few people close to me. Was pretty guarded with what was actually happening because I didn't want to jinx anything, and I thought it was better for my energy overall. Also really monitored what I was consuming. So watching on what I was listening to. When you're in a vulnerable season, you really need to watch what you're letting in. Number 4 is I listen to Ring My Bell by Anita. I've heard that casinos don't play this. I don't know if that's actually true. And it's supposed to have this higher frequency, and I listen every morning in the shower. Water is also supposed to be good creative energy. I get it that this is a little ridiculous, but it helped my confidence. Doesn't hurt anything. So why not? Save this if you're in the job search right now. I can't prove any of this got me hired, but I showed up to every interview feeling grounded like myself. And that is so
