things I wish influencers knew
(as a full-time content creator myself)
01
No one wants to watch your PR hauls
(and brands don't want you do them).
Positioning a brand's product as just one of the many things you received this week is not really the special treatment the brand was hoping for when they sent it to you.
And sharing it as a "haul" with your audience is more likely to make them resentful of you, than interested in buying the products.
(brands would rather you try the product, fall in love with it, and organically* share about it with your audience)
*not gifted, bought this second hand lol
*with a disclosure it's gifted of course
I know it feels so fun and cool to get free stuff
(especially the first time!) but just remember
how it will be received by your audience
Insta360 Ace Pro
*this one was sent to me for review haha
02
If you spend more time addressing your hate
comments than replying to the followers who
actually support you, your audience is going to
get annoyed.
03
No one is focused on your perfectly branded
Instagram grid, or precisely worded bio. They
connect with you in your actual content, so
focus more on that.
04
You're not annoying anyone by posting more
often! You are the only person who sees every
single thing you post - everyone else is popping
in and out as their algorithm serves up your
posts. Don't be scared to post.
