Welcome to day one of a series where we will learn how to use Claude co-work. Keeping it as simple as possible. You know Claude chat. Chat is where we have the conversation. You type answers, it's useful, but you're still doing all the work. You paste in the file, you explain the context, you take the answer back to your desk and you go from there. Basically, it hands you the recipe, but you still have to cook. Co-work is different. It lives on your computer, not in a browser tab. It reads your actual files. It runs tasks while you're not there. You don't bring the work to it, it goes to where the work already is. For example, last week I had 50 receipt photos sitting in a folder, six months of expenses and I kept meaning to log it. I told co-work where to find the file, what to do and I came back to a spreadsheet every receipt was organized. Total by category ready for an account. I cooked nothing. To put it simply, chat hands you the recipe, co-work does the cooking. With co-work, I didn't cook anything. Stay tuned for the next 10 days and I'll show you exactly how co-work works. One thing a day, real use cases, no overwhelm. By day 10, you'll have your own version up and running and you'll see how great Cloud co-work is and how it can really be your assistant.
