Claude forgets you once you close the chat. (unless you do this one thing.) Every time you start a new chat with Claude, it forgets everything about you, your name, your business, what you wanna do, your tone of voice, it forgets everything. And if you find yourself having to repeat to Claude who you are and how you like to speak, then this is for you. There's this very important feature in Claude called projects that most beginners either ignore or just don't notice. We're gonna set this up if you haven't already, this week. You're gonna go to your sidebar, you're gonna click on projects, new project, and there's two important places within that project. The first is knowledge. And you're gonna upload documents, PDFs, documents, or other text that give Claude all the context it needs to know about you. Think brand guidelines, think a master context document that tells it who you are, your name of your business, where you serve, people who you serve, what your goals are for the year, for example, your preferred tone of voice, and that lives in knowledge. The second really important part within that project is called instructions. And that's a simple text field where you simply type how you wanted to behave, avoid tech jargon, speak to beginners, use warm, concise language, avoid em dashes, for example. So you've got two layers within projects, one, knowledge base to know WHO you are, and instruction so it knows HOW to behave. And then you've now got a colleague who's been well briefed on what you need and will remember that every time. Set up your first project if you haven't already, and let me know how you go.
